You will be in one of Akras Megacorporate's 'Gate teams' that go out on adventures and quests in the name of glorious profit, volunteered from the expendable mass of interns and employees to go do what is arguably the most dangerous jobs the company has to offer.
This is a forum game running in Bay12 (home of Dwarf Fortress), in which taking risks will allow your character to grow faster, dying will have you more or less start over. Or maybe you'll have your soul implanted in a new body; with any luck it may even be a clone of your old self...
